Q1. What is the difference between RWF50.20A9 and RWF50.30A9?
A1. The RWF50.20A9 is the basic version offering 3-position (on/off / step) control. The RWF50.30A9
includes an analog output so that it can perform continuous (modulating) control.
Q2. Can the RWF50.30A9 be used in 2-stage burner applications?
A2. Yes — via an external switch or binary input, the controller can be switched to a
2-position control mode suitable for 2-stage burner operation.
Q3. What sensor types are supported?
A3. It supports temperature sensors such as Pt100, Pt1000 (2-wire or 3-wire), Ni1000, also resistance
inputs (0–135 Ω), and standard signal inputs such as 0(4)–20 mA and 0–10 V etc.
Q4. How accurate/stable is the analog output?
A4. The analog output accuracy is up to ≤0.1 % of full scale (100 ppm/K) over temperature.
Q5. What interface is available for configuration / diagnostics?
A5. The controller supports USB communication, and parameterization / firmware / diagnostics can be done via Siemens PC software (ACS411).
It has features such as thermal shock / ramping control (to avoid sudden changes), minimum / maximum
limiters, definition of safe error states, and “thermostat mode”
switching (on/off behavior) when in low-fire mode.
